With Kiss Ya Mama’s Cinnamon Sugar blend, this recipe transforms classic cinnamon rolls into a Southern-inspired delight that’s perfectly sweet without a hint of spice. The biscuit dough brings a tender, flaky texture, while the Kiss Ya Mama seasoning infuses each bite with warm, cinnamon-rich flavor. Topped with a creamy icing of cream cheese and vanilla, these rolls are a comforting, crowd-pleasing treat for breakfast or dessert that everyone will love

Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 3 cups self rising flour
  • 10 oz buttermilk
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ½ lb unsalted butter, cut into small cubes, or grated
  • 1 Tbsp Salt

For the Filling

For the Icing

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened to room temp
  • 4oz (1 stick) butter softened
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ cup Whole Milk
  • ½ tsp Salt

Instructions

For the Dough

  • Combine all ingredients with a rubber spatula until combined
  • On a well floured surface, knead and fold your dough until it begins to form a “bounce”or has slight “spring back”
  • Roll your dough into a square until is 1/2”- 1” thick. Make sure your work surface is floured liberally

For Filling and Dough Roll

  • Brush melted butter over the entirety of your dough.
  • Cover liberally with Kiss Ya Mama Cinnamon Sugar. Add extra if you like them extra “cinnamoney”
  • Once seasoned, roll edges of dough closest to you way from you continuing to form a “roll” until you get to the far edge of the dough.
  • Cut your dough into 2” disc exposing the spiral cinnamon layers
  • In a greased casserole pan add your cinnamon rolls cut side up to the bottom of pan. They should be touching in the your baking dish
  • Pour heavy whipping cream over the top and into all the crevices of the cinnamon rolls
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until the rolls in the center are cooked. Use a toothpick to test. If it comes out clean then they are done.

For the Icing

  • In a separate mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and whisk until well combined and fluffy.
  • Allow your biscuit cinnamon rolls to rest for 10 minutes before applying your icing
